Good News! Parishes and Catholic schools are sharing Jesus’ message with youth and their families in new ways that lead to deeper faith and belonging. Join us for this workshop in which we will share new energy, new methods, and new resources for evangelizing youth and their families and will help communities participate in the Year of Faith, designated by Pope Benedict XVI to begin October 11, 2012. Workshop participants will be equipped to reach out to youth and families who are away from Church practice, while at the same time providing focused efforts of discipleship building for those youth ready to be witnesses and leaders for the New Evangelization.
This workshop will
• Share the Church’s vision for the New Evangelization
• Identify trends and the current opportunities for engaging a new generation of youth and their families
• Equip leaders with skills for witnessing to God’s presence in their life
• Explore processes that help youth reflect on their experiences of faith and conversion
• Energize current ministry efforts through dynamic resources, practical methods, and innovative strategies
• Support leaders as they envision their parish or school as an evangelizing community
