SMYPP will participate in the 40 Days for Life Vigil at the downtown Planned Parenthood facility (at 7th and Shipley Streets). We are required to act in a charitable way towards the clinic workers and clients, and to stay on public areas of the sidewalk. Prayer materials are provided but there is no strict structure to the vigil. One can participate in group prayer, meditate in silence, pray the rosary, sing, hold a sign, walk the perimeter of the block, etc. There is no expectation to counsel women entering or leaving the clinic and we do not use graphic signs.
