Join us and others in shining a light on the best and brightest leaders in youth ministry. Who will you nominate or name as award winners from your parish/school?

All nominations and submissions are due to the CYM office by April 7, 2024. Award recipients will be notified by email on or around April 12, 2024. Parish/school contacts and Pastors/Principals will be notified the same day with the names of award recipients for their parish/school. 

Award Categories

Volunteer of the Year

Each parish or school can name one adult (21 years of age or older and cleared for service in the diocese) who was not honored last year to receive the Volunteer of the Year at the event. This award is not a nomination. When parishes/schools name a Volunteer of the Year, that person receives the award.

St. Timothy Youth Award

Parish or School leaders can name TWO young people who have NOT previously received the award who are a junior or senior high school youth who lives as a disciple of Christ, sets a positive example for other youth, witnesses to their faith by exhibiting Catholic morals and integrity, demonstrates Gospel values through service to others, and exhibits Christian leadership in parish, school, and/or community settings. This is not a nomination. The person named will receive the award.

St. John Bosco Award

St. John Bosco is the founder of the Salesian Society and is the patron saint of young people.

The St. John Bosco Award is a diocesan award given to adult leaders (21 years and older and cleared for service in the diocese) who have been involved in youth ministry for five or more years and have been positive role models in one of several categories. Nominees may be volunteer or salaried, lay or religious.
