Are You Called to Witness?

Are You Called to Witness?

Co-sponsored by Catholic Relief Services and NACYML, Called to Witness is a short-term, firsthand experience of the developing world.

It is not a direct service program, but rather an opportunity based in solidarity and accompaniment, which includes a chance to visit a variety of CRS programs, and explore deeply what it means to live faith in solidarity with our sisters and brothers overseas. It is an experience grounded in a spiritual context of shared reflection on Catholic social teaching and specific teachings on global solidarity.

Applicants should be youth ministry leaders/professionals serving in some capacity in the Catholic youth ministry field in the United States. Applications may be downloaded online. The application deadline has been extended to February 20, 2014. (No money is due with the application.) The number of participants is limited. Preference is given to NACYML members who meet the other qualifications.

Accepted applicants will be asked for a $1,000.00 contribution and to develop a global solidarity action plan for implementation in his/her ministry setting after the experience. For more information (and assistance on how to raise the money), please contact Ted Miles at 410-951-7475.

By the way, CYM director Patrick Donovan has travelled twice with CRS CTW program if you have any questions.
