Online
registration is now open for this annual event, set for January 19-21, 2007. The weekend will include
Keynotes by Father Lou Cameli, Dr. Carole Eipers, and Sr. Maureen Shaughnessy,
SC. Workshops opening the treasures of the Church and its wisdom for our
journey are included...including the Marian, Salesian, Carmelite, and Franciscan ways of
spirituality. Our musicians for the

workshop during the weekend too! Click here to download a flyer in

Young Adult Retreat: Sign Up Now!
If
you're a young adult you won't want to miss this opportunity. The retreat runs
from January 12-13, 2007 and the registration deadline is coming up soon
(December 29, 2006). In our culture today it is difficult to step aside from the
hectic pace of life and "rest in the Lord." Yet, that is exactly what we need as
Christians. This retreat will focus on "Sabbath," a time separate from our
normal routines and work, a place where rest, relaxation, and quiet
contemplation allow us to enter more deeply into relationship with God. The
retreat will include presentations, time for quiet reflection, rest, and
sharing. Presenters: Kathryn Dougherty OSF and Anthony Albence. For more
information,

Theology of the Body: For Teens
Theology of the Body for Teens: Discovering God’s Plan for Love and Life (TOB
for Teens) is a 12-part program based on John Paul II’s original series of 129
Wednesday audiences on human sexuality popularly called the Theology of the
Body. These teachings have been hailed as the key to understanding and
overcoming the corrosive effects of the sexual revolution, which has created
what John Paul II called the “Culture of Death.” For more information,

Reel Talk
There's
a great scene in "Superman Returns" where
Superman challenges Lois Lane on an article she's written. The article is called
"Why The World Doesn't Need Superman" and in it Lois contends that she - and the
world - don't need a savior. Watch the movie with your family this holiday
season and talk about the scene. The message is powerful - and timely!
If you have a movie to suggest for Reel Talk,
email CYM.
