Calling All Young Adults
The Diocesan Commission on Young Adult Ministry
begins its work in the coming weeks and we're still looking for a few good
members. If you are a young adult with vision, good leadership skills and a
healthy outlook on life as a Catholic, we'd love for you to join us. This
Commission will help shape the vision and direction for ministry to young adults
on the diocesan level. To join (or nominate someone else for the Commission),
please
download this form and fax it back to CYM before June 20, 2006.

Wanted: Your Youth Ministry Memories
Catholic Youth Ministry will be celebrating the
75th anniversary of organized ministry to young people during the 2006-2007
program year. To allow us to celebrate 75 years of service all year long, the
staff of Catholic Youth Ministry is seeking stories and pictures from those
involved throughout the years. We want to know how Catholic Youth Ministry has
challenged, improved, and supported young people over the years in their faith
journey. Which youth ministry leaders (including coaches, religious educators,
youth group leaders, priests and sisters) have contributed to your formation?
What short story can you tell us that others will want to hear? We hope to
collect enough stories in writing to share them weekly on the diocesan website
and to collect some stories on tape to allow web site visitors to click a button
to hear a three to four minute story of CYM’s history. Most of the pictures
collected will be used as part of the CYM 75th
Anniversary Gala, Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Clayton Center on the
University of Delaware Campus in Newark. If you have a story or photos to share,
please contact CYM at 302.658.3800 or via email at
catholicyouth@cdow.org.
