Theology on Tap Wraps Up

The Lenten series of Theology on Tap series concludes a successful run at Catherine Rooney's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Wilmington's Trolley Square on Thursday, 4/6.  This week's finale tackles the topic Does Mass Matter?  Carol Jaworski and Roger Pisani of the Institute for Liturgical Formation will "unpack" the Mass. Carol and Roger will do their best to bring all in attendance to a new appreciation of this celebration.  Carol and Roger are experienced presenters and seasoned liturgical ministers who served as liturgists and musicians at the diocesan Ministries Weekend conference this past January.  Their engaging style and passion for ministry will make for a memorable evening to be sure.  To download a flyer for the series please click here.

More than just answering phones...

You may notice in the coming weeks that Jen Sylvester isn't the sweet voice you hear on the phone when you call CYM...at least not for a four to six weeks. Jen had surgery this week and is resting comfortably. Marie Holsizer is filling in for Jen. If you'd like to send Jen something, send it care of CYM, 1626 N. Union Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Get well Jen and welcome Marie!

Reality Show Gets Religion on A&E
They’re bright, All-American guys with ambition to spare, hilarious friends and family, even girls they might want to marry. But beneath the surface, they are in turmoil trying to decide whether they’re being called in an entirely different direction. GOD OR THE GIRL captures the tension, terror, and triumph of Joe, Mike, Steve, and Dan, four 20-something men at the most important crossroads of their lives, as, over the course of this series, they decide whether or not to enroll in the seminary and become Roman Catholic priests, or to find the love of a woman and settle down with a family. In this five-part series which begins Easter Sunday, viewers will become part of a powerful journey whose conclusion will define its subjects forever.

Quotable

Love the earth and sun and animals,
Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks,
Stand up for the stupid and crazy,
Devote your income and labor to others...
And your very flesh shall be a great poem.
~Walt Whitman

Nexus and Kommotion Thanks

Thanks so much to the many, many adults who brought young people from parishes and schools to share in the "Becoming what we receive" rallies this past weekend. Jesse emailed to let us know how much he appreciated everyone's enthusiasm and how much he enjoyed himself. Evaluation forms will be arriving this week in group leaders' mailboxes, so please seek some feedback from your young people. For the Dialog's article on the events, click here.

Quick Quiz
Congrats to Eileen Brzazgon, who answered correctly that the "Pope Scope" is located in the U.S. (Arizona to be exact). This week: Outside the Vatican, what city is home to the highest number of relics? Email your answer to CYM today!

Reel Talk

Looking for a movie that will inspire and entertain? Try Evelyn, a true story about the Children's Act in Ireland in the 1940s and 50s. See how a father fights for the right to raise his children and how one girl's prayer changes even the stoniest of hearts. If you have a movie to suggest, email CYM.
