The CYM Recognition
Dinner is set for Tuesday, April 12,
2005. Parishes with
Youth Ministry Leadership
Teams will be able to nominate volunteers of the
year and there will be recognition for years of
service to young people, as well as some diocesan
awards and even a few national awards! This will
be the first time the Diocese of Wilmington has
honored leaders in all types of ministry to young
people (scouting, sports, catechists, etc.) at one
event. For more
information o the event and the awards, please
download a
flyer here.
Food Fast Anyone?
If you want to know how successful a
Catholic Relief Services
Food Fast can be, just talk to the young
people of Holy Family Parish. If you can't
find one, catch the CRS Food Fast
Video....because they're on it! Congrats to
the young people of Holy Family for being
selected to appear in the promo video. If
you'd like
Food Fast materials, please contact
CYM.
The materials are free and the lessons can
last a lifetime.
How Can I Help CYM?
People always ask, "What can I do to help?"
Well, if your workplace has a
United Way Campaign, consider
contributing to
Catholic Youth Ministry (agency code
0180). We've been a full-member agency of
United Way of Delaware for more than
thirty-five years. If your office doesn't
host a United Way Campaign, consider
donating directly to CYM, 1626 N. Union
Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. For the

services,

An
Attitude of Gratitude
Thank you so much to all those who helped
make Kommotion 2004 such a great success.
Mike
Patin's presentation was awesome and it
couldn't have happened without the generous
service of the adult leaders who gave of
their time, talent and treasure to chaperone
the young people.
Online Help for Coaches
For
a list of great resources for coaches of
volleyball, soccer, football, or cross
country, visit our
Online Help page.
Seen
a Good Movie Lately?
If you've seen a movie that moves you to
share it's story, let CYM know. We're
putting together an online list of clips and
movie guides and we'd love to take credit
for your ideas (just kidding...we'll list
the contributors). Please email your
thoughts to CYM.
Coming Soon: A Link to You!
Starting next month, CYM will be
launching a webpage for young people that
will allow them to search by parish and see
who's coordinating youth ministry in their
parish (or school). Be on the lookout for
the questionnaire and please be prompt in
responding.
Quick Quiz
Congratulations to Robyn Correalle,
the Coordinator for Youth Ministry at St.
Mary of the Assumption, who guessed
correctly that youth ministry 'officially'
began in the Diocese of Wilmington in 1936.

For this issue (If you were at Kommotion,
this should be easy): Where does the keynote
speaker, Mike Patin, live? Be the first to
email CYM with the correct answer to
win.
