Once the system is fully updated, all users will receive an email reminding them of their user name and password and giving them instructions on how to proceed with registration. Noticia del Encuentro 2006: Tejiendo el Futuro Juntos

The first National Encuentro is designed to bring Hispanic Catholic young people to more active, enthusiastic, and influential participation in the life and mission of the church in the United States. It is a first and necessary step in helping the church as a whole to understand, embrace, and affirm the unique cultural identity, reality, and gifts of Hispanic youth and young adults. The national gathering, scheduled for June 8-11, 2006, will be held at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Parish, diocesan, and regional Encuentros (leading up to the national event) will take place from May of this year through mid-2006. The process is being convened by the National Catholic Network de Pastoral Juvenil Hispana in collaboration with the national leadership in Hispanic, youth, and young adult ministry. The theme is Weaving the Future Together. The Encuentro manual is available via the USCCB website in English and Spanish.

Quotable

Sometime in your life, hope that you might see one starved man, the look on his face when the bread finally arrives. Hope that you might have baked it or bought or even kneaded it yourself. For that look on his face, for your meeting his eyes across a piece of bread, you might be willing to lose a lot, or suffer a lot, or die a little, even. ~Daniel Berrigan

Prayers for Parishes Seeking Service

Please keep Immaculate Conception in Elkton, MD, St. Francis de Sales in Salisbury, MD, St. Edmonds in Rehoboth Beach, and St. Ann's in Bethany Beach in your prayers as they discern the right candidate to help coordinate their ministry to youth.
