Welcome! Please join CYM in welcoming two new staff members to our youth ministry family.

Anthony Albence is no stranger to Catholic Youth Ministry. He has served as an advisor to the Diocesan Youth Council for the past several years and has been instrumental in our move towards Young Adult Ministry. Anthony's primary responsibilities include the training of youth ministry personnel in our diocese and continuing the good work in young adult ministry begun last year by Amy Hoegen. Anthony can be reached at aalbence@cdow.org. Please drop him a line and welcome him aboard!

Lisa Whitlock journeys each morning from Maryland to serve as our support staff. Lisa handles all event registrations, general correspondence and is the first voice you hear when you call the office. Why not send Lisa an email at catholicyouth@cdow.org to welcome her to the family?

The annual Jr. High Kommotion is October 20th and the registration deadline is October 15th. Please adhere to this deadline so we can let the fine folks at Sandy Cove in North East, MD know how many they'll be feeding for lunch. If you've misplaced your registration materials, please call CYM at 302.658.3800 or email catholicyouth@cdow.org.

If you plan to attend the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry this December in Denver, you may be too late. The deadline has passed and late fees now apply. Call CYM at 302.658.3800 or send in your materials today and we'll try to get you on the same flights!

The last week of October is the National Red Ribbon week for the prevention of drug abuse among our young people. Look for packets coming your way with posters created by youth from our diocesan schools.

Don't forget World Youth Sunday is October 27th. What is your parish planning?
