Now in its third year, plans are well underway for Pilgrimage 2012: We Walk By Faith.
Join hundreds of your friends as we walk the city streets of Wilmington with Bishop Malooly, carrying the Pilgrimage Cross from parish to parish. Plans include opening prayer, a concert with ValLimar Jansen, the chance to celebrate Reconciliation, to kneel before the Blessed Sacrament, and (new this year) experience the Stations of the Cross as interpreted by our young people.
New for 2012, we will begin at St. Thomas the Apostle (Fourth St. and Bancroft Pkwy) and include St. Hedwig as another stop along our journey. We will add Stations of the Cross to the already wonderful mix of rituals and prayers.
All participants are asked to bring a new pair of children's shoes and socks (size 4-6) that will be collected during the concert at St. Anthony's at lunch. Shoes and socks collected will be donated to Samaritans Feet, a faith-based organization seeking to donate 10 million shoes to 10 million children in 10 years. Our simple goal: 400 new pairs of shoes and socks. Please join us in meeting this goal.

This year all registration is online. No forms to download (unless you want to use one to order hoodies). Click the Register button above and use the online system to register yourself, your family, or your entire group. Please have the names of those in your group handy as they are required for registration. You can also request scholarships online and order hoodies (though we have also created an offline form for that). Registration for Priest.
We have tried to make it as easy as possible. You can download the complete Pilgrimage Planning Guide below or just download the specific pieces you need. Included in this guide is parking information, a schedule of the day, information on our entertainer, ValLimar Jansen, frequently asked questions (also linked below), and more.

To lighten the load for our adult volunteers (and because it ended up being a very long day), we have dropped the evening concert and dinner option from this year's event. Instead, we have lengthened the concert at lunch so everyone - even those attending Reconciliation during lunch - can enjoy the music and ministry of ValLimar Jansen.
See the Related Pages below or click here to check out all the great resources for this year's Pilgrimage. From how to host the cross at your parish or school to a step by step guide to Reconcilation and Eucharistic Adoration, we have tried to think of everything.
To start your pilgrimage today, consider hosting the Pilgrimage Cross at your parish or school. Use this link to make your request.
