This year's CHAOS promises to be a great event. Doug Tooke will be joining us for the keynote presentation, Bishop Malooly will be celebrating Mass with us, and participants will have the opportunity to choose from among various workshops as part of the afternoon.
CHAOS will be at Padua Academy this year and we are moving away from a more “rally” type approach and included much more intentional catechesis. We are also moving back to Sunday. We will gather at October 27, 2013. Registration begins at 10 and the day wraps up at 4 pm.
Chaos is for Catholic youth in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Non-Catholic students are also welcome to attend. Please remember that although the day is not intended to replace a Confirmation retreat, CYM encourages those youth preparing to receive the sacrament to attend. Everyone, including the adults, will have fun! Ninth graders are welcome if they are part of your Confirmation prep.
Please follow the guidelines outlined in For the Sake of God’s Children (FSGC) regarding the proper ratio of cleared adults to young people, as well as the accurate completion of the Event Specific Consent and Release Form (FSGC Form B for youth and adults). The cost this year is $15 for participants and includes lunch. One adult can attend for free with every ten paid participants! Please use the enclosed registration form and send it and your check (payable to CYM) no later than October 18, 2013.
If you missed the CYM Biannual meeting and did not get a chance to pick up posters or postcards to hang in the halls and hand out to your teens, you can either download the ones below and print them, or email CYM and let us know how many you need.
