This Sunday we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord, the ways in which Christ made himself known to the world. The gospel reading this week comes from Matthew where we hear about the journey of the Magi coming from the east to bow down before Christ and present him with gifts for a king. These Magi took a great risk traveling from the east with such precious and valuable gifts, but did it to worship and glorify the Lord. This week ask yourself, what are you willing to go through to bow down and worship Christ? Do you make excuses and avoid going to Mass and if you do attend what gifts are you bringing to the Altar? We should all strive to be as dedicated as the Magi.
