CYM SPORTS ONLINE HELP FOR AA PRESIDENTS

Step One
Go to the CYM web page by clicking on the link below

If you do not have a user name and password
If you do not have a user name and password, click the word "here" in the first section. This link will take you to a page to complete a request for a user name and password. Your new user name and password will be emailed back to the email address you provided. ALL COACHES (HEAD AND ASSISTANT) WILL NEED A USER NAME AND PASSWORD!
Check your email and write down your new user name and password. Keep this information in a safe place! You will need this information every time you log in.
Note: if you already have a user name and password and have forgotten it, there is a different link for that. Please do not request a new user name and password if you are already in the system.
Step Two
Go to the Athletics page link http://www.cdow.org/cymathletics.html and click Online Registration (For All Users). This link will take you to the Adult Leaders Menu page where you will enter your user name and password.
Step Three
The first time you log in, you should click the Edit my information link will appear. It is important that coaches (head and assistant) keep this information up to date. When finished, click Update. A summary page will follow.
Step Four
Click the My Teams link. All teams for your parish/school will be listed under the “My Teams List” header. To narrow the number of teams showing, use the Sport and Season search fields. It is the responsibility of the Athletic Association President (AAP) to assign the head coach for each team. The AAP can also assign assistant coach however the head coach can assign assistant coaches as well.
As AA President, you also have the ability to build and/or edit rosters just like Head Coaches. Follow posted instructions for building and printing rosters. The “Approved?” column will give AAPs the ability to approve rosters once your have reviewed them.
Note – Assistant coaches will not see teams listed and do not have the ability to build and/or edit teams. However assistant coaches will need to go online to obtain a user name/password and update their information so they can be added to the team roster.
Step Five
Click the My Participants link. As Athletic Association President, this section will allow you to view individuals whose parents/guardians have successfully completed all steps of the online registration and are affiliated with your parish/school. These are the only individuals that can be placed on a team roster for your parish/school.
When you first arrive at this part of the site, the search fields show the word “all” and the names of individuals will not be showing. If you click the search button, all individuals who are eligible will appear. You can narrow the search field by using grade or sex search fields.
After clicking the search button, the report will show the name of the child in alphabetical order along with the Sex, Grade, Date of Birth, Sport and Medical section.
Notes:
· In the Sports column, most individuals will show “All Sports” which means their Primary Affiliation is your parish/school. If the individual is showing a specific sport, it means their Primary Affiliation is with another parish/school and they are approved for your parish for that sport only.
· In the Medical column, the appearance of a letter will indicate that the parent/guardian answered yes to that particular medical question (H-Heart, etc.) See the legend provided for Medical codes.
· Only those individuals whose parents/guardians have successfully completed the online registration and have been approved for your parish will be listed once you click the search button.
Step Six
Click the My Coaches link. As Athletic Association President, this section will allow you to view the names of coaches from your parish/school that are registered in the system and are cleared adults as per For the Sake of God’s Children guidelines.
When you first arrive at this site, all search fields show the word “all” and no coaches’ names will be showing. If you click the search button, only coaches who are registered in the system and have listed your parish/school will appear. You can narrow the search field by using the sport search field. You will note that there are columns for Orientation and Orientation deadline. CYM will update this information.
Step Seven
You will see and Online Directory link at the top of the page. The Online Directory is the primary means for you as coach to obtain the names and contact information for head and assistant coaches of other teams. This site provides you the ability to search for by category (head coaches, assistant coach, athletic director), by parish, by sport and by season. This will assist in narrowing the search field to locate the individual or groups. Please keep in mind that CYM no long sends out coaches lists by mail/email or gives out coaches information over the telephone.
